Career Opportunity: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – WSSCA

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), recognizing the critical importance of efficient municipal services in driving urban development, has established the Water and Sanitation Services Company Abbottabad (WSSCA). This initiative is part of the provincial government’s ongoing reforms and investment agenda, spearheaded by the Chief Minister, aimed at improving water and sanitation service delivery across the region.

WSSCA is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary professional to lead the organization in the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on a contract basis for a period of three (03) years.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following academic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Engineering or

  • Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences or Water Resources, from an HEC-recognized and reputable institution, OR

  • Member of a Recognized Professional Accountancy Body, OR

  • Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Commerce, Marketing, or equivalent, recognized by HEC.

2. Relevant Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience, with demonstrated and progressive responsibilities in:

  • Chief Executive Officer or Senior Management Roles (e.g., General Manager, Head of Finance/Operations) in public or private sector organizations, ideally in Water, Sanitation (WATSAN), or Municipal Services, OR

  • Senior-level departmental leadership in fields like Engineering/Technology, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, etc., within commercially-oriented organizations, OR

  • Governing Body Membership of a recognized professional institution.

3. Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 55 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.

4. Pay Package

  • Market-based and negotiable, depending on qualifications, experience, and professional exposure.
