Position: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

1. ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power (Pvt.) Ltd. (QATPL) is a public sector company owned by the Government of Punjab. The company was established to construct and operate an RLNG-based 1180MW Combined Cycle power plant at Bhikki, District Sheikhupura. The plant is producing cheap and reliable electricity and is playing a pivotal role in eliminating the energy crisis in the country.

2. VACANCY DETAILS

 
Position Location Age Limit
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Head Office, Lahore Should not be above 62 years as on the last date for submission of applications

3. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 
Requirement Details
Minimum Qualification Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree (minimum 16 years of education) from a reputable institute recognized or accredited by the Higher Education Commission (HEC)
Preferred Disciplines Engineering, Energy Management, Power, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business Administration (Finance), Public Administration, Law, or Chartered Accountancy
Higher Qualification Will be given preference

4. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 
Requirement Details
Minimum Experience At least 20 years of post-qualification experience at public or private sector organizations
Senior Management Role No less than 05 years working in a senior management role at a power or energy project company/organization
Added Advantage Familiarity with public sector business processes and Government/business interface will be considered an added advantage

Appointment Guidelines The candidate shall be appointed in accordance with the Public Sector Companies (Appointment of Chief Executive Officer) Guidelines, 2015
Corporate Governance Rules The appointment shall also comply with the Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013
Fit and Proper Criteria The candidate must fulfill the Fit and Proper Criteria laid down in the Guidelines
