About PMC

Punjab Mineral Company (Pvt.) Limited (PMC) is a wholly owned entity of the Government of the Punjab. Incorporated under the Companies Ordinance 1984 (now the Companies Act, 2017), PMC is entrusted with the exploration, exploitation, and commercial development of Punjab’s vast mineral resources. The company is currently engaged in several exploratory projects in collaboration with renowned international organizations.

Position Overview

The Board of Directors of PMC is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and result-oriented professional for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The role demands a visionary leader to steer the organization toward sustainable growth and strategic mineral development.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess one or more of the following qualifications from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized institution or a reputable foreign university/professional body:

  • B.E./B.Sc. Engineering in Mining, Geological, Geotechnical, or Material Sciences (or higher qualification)

  • BS/M.Sc. in Geology or Geophysics (or higher qualification)

  • MBA/CA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent (or higher qualification)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of experience in the mineral sector, with at least 5 years at a senior management level in public or reputable private sector organizations.

  • Candidates with MBA/CA/ACCA/ACMA qualifications must also meet the 20-year experience criteria, with 10 years in the mineral sector and 5 years in senior management.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in business case development and transaction advisory services.

  • Additional preference for those who have served as CEO, COO, MD, or DG.

Age Limit

  • The candidate must be a Pakistani national and not older than 62 years as of the last date of application submission.

Salary Package

  • A market-competitive salary package will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Terms of Appointment

  • Appointment will be contract-based for three (3) years.

  • Hiring shall be in line with the Public Sector Companies (Appointment of Chief Executive) Guidelines, 2015 and the Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013.
