A Modaraba Company in the public sector is seeking the services of a Chief Executive Officer in Karachi with an outstanding vision, strong management skills and the ability to demonstrate strategic leadership. The incumbent will report to the Board of Directors and should possess the following attributes and skills set:

Qualification:

  • Must possess a graduate degree from a well-reputed institute or other professional qualification relating to Islamic finance; or
  • Be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants; or
  • Be a recognized businessman or professional with postgraduate degree in business administration or public administration or finance or commerce or marketing or equivalent.

AGE:

  • Between 45 to 60 years (cutoff date for age calculation is 30 November 2021)
 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum experience of seven to ten years in a senior management position, preferably in the regulated financial services sector.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory, commercial and sectoral environment in which the company operates.
  • An appetite for risk and know-how of industry and customers.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The candidate shall be appointed in accordance with the Public Sector Companies (Appointment of CEO) Guidelines 2015
  • The candidate must fulfill the fit and proper criteria laid down in Public Sector Corporate Governance Rules 2013 and Prudential Regulations for Modarabas.
  • Selected candidate will be offered market-based compensation package and other perks and benefits commensurate with the qualification and experience.
