Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Organization: GENCO Holding Company Limited (GHCL)

GHCL is a Public Sector Company serving as the management entity for various public sector thermal power generation companies. It oversees entities including:
JPCL (Jamshoro)
CPGCL (Guddu)
NPGCL (Muzaffargarh)
LPGCL (Lakhra)
The CEO of GHCL will lead the transformation and restructuring of public sector generation companies. The role includes:
Disposal of inefficient power plants as per regulatory and PPRA guidelines
Steering privatization in alignment with government policy and energy sector reforms
Ensuring legal, transparent, and well-governed operations during the transition
Managing HR concerns and stakeholder engagement effectively
Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for asset disposal/privatization in consultation with GENCOs and Board
Mitigate financial, operational, and legal risks during the transition process
Liaise with Power Division, NEPRA, and stakeholders to coordinate privatization efforts
Maintain communication and governance among the Government, GENCOS, regulatory bodies, and investors
Supervise operational expenditure, asset valuation, and financial advisory processes
Ensure smooth plant operations until privatization is complete
Design and implement HR transition strategies (e.g., staff absorption into DISCOs)
Educational Requirements (any one):
Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics) with PEC registration
Fellow Member of a recognized professional accountancy body (e.g., ICAP, ICMAP)
MBA from a reputable institution
Professional Experience (minimum 10 years):
Governance, business administration, finance, marketing, or related fields in commercial organizations
CEO or senior management roles in commercially oriented companies
Member of a professional institute’s governing body or departmental head
Experience in asset liquidation, privatization, or public sector roles (preferred)
Additional Skills:
Strategic foresight and regulatory expertise
Strong negotiation, communication, and change management skills
Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities
Must meet Fit and Proper Criteria (State-Owned Enterprises Act 2023)
Contract Duration: 3 years (extendable based on performance and Board assessment)
Performance Evaluation: As per Performance-Based Contract and SOEs Governance Act 2023
Remuneration: Negotiable, market-based salary aligned with qualification and experience
Reporting Line: CEO will report to the Board of Directors
