Punjab Grid Company Limited (PGCL), wholly owned by the Government of the Punjab (GoPb), is a public sector company working under the Energy Department, Government of Punjab. PGCL has been established to undertake electricity transmission services within Punjab.

PGCL invites applications from qualified, experienced, and dynamic professionals for the following key management positions:

DETAILS OF VACANCIES

1. Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

• No. of Positions: 01

• Maximum Age: 62 years

Qualification:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

• Preference will be given to candidates holding a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Business / Project Management from HEC-recognized universities

Experience:

• Minimum 20 years post-qualification experience in the power sector

• At least 05 years’ experience at senior management level, either as CEO or in a role directly reporting to the CEO

• Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:

  • Transmission utilities

  • Contract management

  • Power sector regulatory affairs

  • Tariff matters

2. Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

• No. of Positions: 01

• Maximum Age: 50 years

Qualification & Experience:

• Member of a recognized professional accounting body with at least 05 years relevant experience in public sector companies having total assets of Rs. 5 billion or more, OR

• Master’s Degree in Finance from an HEC-recognized university with at least 10 years relevant experience (for other public sector companies)

Preference:

• Candidates having finance / tariff-related experience in the power sector will be preferred

3. General Manager Technical

• No. of Positions: 01

• Maximum Age: 50 years

Qualification:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university

Experience:

• Relevant experience in the power sector will be preferred

4. Company Secretary (CS)

• No. of Positions: 01

• Maximum Age: 40 years

Qualification & Experience:
Candidates must possess one of the following:

• Membership of a recognized body of Professional Accountants, OR

• Membership of a recognized body of Corporate / Chartered Secretaries, OR

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Commerce, OR

• Law Graduate from an HEC-recognized university

• Minimum 05 years relevant experience is required

• Preference will be given to candidates having power sector experience

GENERAL PROVISIONS / INSTRUCTIONS

1. All appointments shall be made in accordance with PGCL policies, Government rules, and applicable General Conditions of Service.

2. Appointment of CEO shall strictly meet the “Fit and Proper” criteria under the Public Sector Companies (Appointment of CEO) Guidelines, 2015.
