1. ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

The Medical Teaching Institution, Nowshera (MTI, NSR), encompassing the Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex and the Nowshera Medical College, is an autonomous body governed by a Board of Governors (BOG). Its operations are regulated by the Medical Teaching Institutions Reform Act of 2015, as amended in 2026 by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

2. VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited from candidates holding a domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Merged Districts, Erstwhile FATA) for the following position at the Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex (MTI), Nowshera.

3. DETAILED JOB SPECIFICATIONS

A. QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a Registered Grade A Nurse with a valid Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) license.

• Must possess ONE of the following academic credentials:

  1. A General Nursing Diploma (3 years) along with a Midwifery/Specialty Diploma (1 year) from a PNC-approved institution.

  2. A BSN (Generic) degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 from a PNC-accredited institution.

B. EXPERIENCE

• Diploma Holders: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a recognized teaching hospital.

• BSN (Generic) Holders: Completion of a 1-year clinical internship in a recognized teaching hospital.

C. TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Proficient in computer literacy.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

D. CORE COMPETENCIES

• Patient Assessment & Monitoring

• General Nursing Care

• Medication Administration

• Nursing Documentation

• Critical Care (ICU/CCU)

• Communication & Teamwork

E. JOB EXPECTATIONS
The post holder is expected to deliver total holistic care to patients at an optimum level, based on set standards of work. They must be prepared to perform additional duties as assigned.

4. APPLICATION PROCESS & REQUIREMENTS

A. APPLICATION SUBMISSION

C. DOCUMENT VERIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY

• Experience Marks: Will be awarded only to candidates who provide valid documentary evidence for the claimed relevant experience. Only experience gained after obtaining the required academic qualification will be counted.

• Equivalency Certificate: It is the candidate's responsibility to provide a valid equivalency certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan along with the application to justify academic eligibility.

• In-Progress Degrees: "Degree in-progress" type of academic certificates will not be considered.

• Original Documents: All shortlisted candidates must produce original documents/credentials at the time of the interview.

• Late/Incomplete Applications: Any application or documents received after the closing date/time will be rejected. No documents will be accepted, changed, or replaced once received with the application. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.

5. SELECTION PROCESS & TERMS

• Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview, as deemed appropriate by the administration of QHAMC MTI.

• Merit & Conduct: All selection processes will be conducted on merit. Any candidate attempting to influence the recruitment process will be liable for rejection.

• Governing Rules: In case of selection/appointment, the candidate's services will be governed under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical & Teaching Institutions Reform Act 2015 and its rules/regulations, as amended.

• Candidate Disqualification: A candidate may be disqualified or excluded from the selection process if she/he:

  • (a) Has been convicted by a court or dismissed/terminated/removed from service.

  • (b) Furnishes any false/forged information or documents.

  • (c) Suppresses any information that may lead to disqualification.

  • (d) Attempts to influence the selection process.

  • (e) Misbehaves during the test/interview.

• TA/DA: No travel/subsistence expenses or TA/DA shall be admissible for attending the Test/Interview.

• Vacancy Adjustment: The Competent Authority of QHAMC MTI, Nowshera, has the vested right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.

• Quotas: Quotas for Minorities and disabled persons shall be followed in accordance with the applicable rules/regulations of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
