Physical Planning & Housing Department

Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir

The Physical Planning & Housing Department, Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, invites applications from highly qualified and experienced professionals in the fields of Urban Planning, Development, and Housing.

The department seeks a competent individual with strong leadership skills to head the Development Authority Muzaffarabad (DAM) as its Chairman and lead it as a progressive authority of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications and experience requirements:

Qualification & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Urban Planning with at least 3 years of relevant experience;

OR

  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering / Town Planning / Urban Planning from a recognized university with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Candidates must demonstrate strong administrative capability, professional competence, and proven leadership experience relevant to urban development and housing management.


Terms of Appointment

  • The appointment will be made by the Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir on the recommendation of a Special Committee headed by the ACS (General).

  • The position will be filled on a contract basis initially for a period of 03 years.

  • Terms and conditions shall be governed under the Contract Policy, 2006.

  • The selected candidate will receive pay, allowances, perks, and privileges equivalent to BS-20.
