Vacant Position
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Islamabad, invites applications for the post of Chairman/Chairperson of the Newspaper Employees (Service Conditions) Tribunal under Section 2(120) of the Newspaper Employees (Service Conditions) Act, 1973. Applications are invited from reputable and dignified Pakistani citizens who meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualifications and Experience
The mandatory educational qualifications and experience for the candidate are as follows:
a) A retired judge of the High Court or an individual qualified to be appointed as a judge of the High Court is eligible to apply.
b) The upper age limit for this post is 62 years as of the last date for submission of applications.
Contract Duration
The appointment of the Chairman/Chairperson will be for a fixed term of three (3) years, which will not be extendable.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Chairman/Chairperson will perform their duties in accordance with the Newspaper Employees (Service Conditions) Act, 1973.
Remuneration
The Chairman/Chairperson will be granted salary, allowances, and benefits equivalent to a Management Scale Position issued by the Establishment Division (No. 1/3/2020-MP, dated 12th January 2021).
