SITUATIONS VACANT

The University of Agriculture Swat is a public sector university chartered by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The University invites applications from qualified Pakistani nationals on prescribed forms, available on the University's website (www.uoaSwat.edu.pk), for the positions of Associate Professors (BPS-20) and Assistant Professors (BPS-19) in the following disciplines:

1. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (BPS-20) — Regular

Eligibility Criteria / Minimum Qualification

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized University/Institution (as per HEC criteria).

• Ten (10) years teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized University or a Post-Graduate Institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

OR

• Five (05) years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized University or Post-Graduate Institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

Minimum Number of Publications:

• The applicant must have at least 04 research publications (as first author) in HEC-recognized journals.

Age Limit: 21–55 years

2. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (BPS-19) — Regular

a) One post each in the disciplines of:

• Computer Science

• Artificial Intelligence

b) One post each in the disciplines of:

• Agriculture Extension

• Mountain Agriculture (one each with specialization in Climate Change Sciences & GIS)

c) One post each in the disciplines of:

• Human Nutrition & Dietetics

• Entomology

• Soil & Environmental Sciences

• Food Science & Technology

d) One post each in the disciplines of:

• Plant Breeding & Genetics

• Horticulture

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Application Form: Interested candidates can apply through an online application form available on the University's website (www.uoaSwat.edu.pk).

2. Application Fee:

   • Rs. 3,300/- for S.No. 1 (Associate Professor)

   • Rs. 2,100/- for S.No. 2 (Assistant Professor)

   The original bank receipt (fee deposit slip) must be attached with the application form. Fees should be deposited in Account No. PK42KHYB929A103005012339 of the Bank of Khyber, Main Branch, Saidu Sharif, Swat, or online via any other branch of BOK in the name of "Treasurer, The University of Agriculture Swat."

3. Required Documents: A copy of the online application form, duly completed in all respects, along with attested copies of all degrees/certificates, DMC (Detailed Marks Certificate), experience certificates, and other requisite documents must be attached. Applicants applying for more than one post must submit separate applications for each post.

4. Deadline:

   • For un-advertised candidates: 30-09-2026

   • For those applying from abroad: 10-11-2025

5. In-Service Candidates: Candidates already in service should route their applications through the proper channel and are expected to submit an NOC (No Objection Certificate) along with the application form.

6. Terms of Appointment: All first appointments shall be made under the Contract Policy of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, except those who are already in service and applying against a provincial quota post, who will be appointed on a regular basis as per their previous regular service.

7. Late Applications: Incomplete applications or those received after the closing date shall not be accepted. Applications submitted with fake documents/information shall be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process.

8. Foreign Degrees: Applicants holding foreign degrees/certificates must provide an equivalence certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Islamabad, before the closing date.

9. Associate Professor Applicants: Candidates are required to submit six (06) copies of the Application Form along with complete dossiers.

10. No TA/DA: No TA/DA shall be paid for appearing in tests/interviews.

11. Right of Authority: The University reserves the right to withhold the appointment against any advertised post or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.

12. Eligibility & Scrutiny: Eligibility criteria, scrutiny, Applicant Committee decisions, as well as the qualification/experience of eligible candidates, will be displayed on the University's website for information of the candidates.
