Positions Available: Teaching Faculty (Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor)

1. Associate Professor (Pay Scale: 08-16, Age: 30-50, Regular/Contract)

No. Discipline Positions Qualification & Experience
1 Education 2 Ph.D. in Education; 10 years teaching/research experience in a postgraduate institute or university recognized by HEC; professional experience in relevant field in national/international organizations.
2 Islamic Studies 1 Ph.D. in Islamic Studies; same experience as above.
3 Management Sciences 2 Ph.D. in Management Sciences; same experience as above.
4 Statistics 1 Ph.D. in Statistics; 10 years teaching/research experience or equivalent professional experience; recognized by HEC.
5 Zoology 2 Ph.D. in Zoology; 10 years teaching/research experience or relevant professional experience.
6 Pharmacy 1 Ph.D. in Pharmacy; 10 years teaching/research experience or professional experience.
7 Chemistry 1 Ph.D. in Chemistry; 10 years teaching/research experience or professional experience.

2. Assistant Professor (Pay Scale: 08-19, Age: 35-45, Regular/Contract)

Discipline Qualification Experience
Pharmacy Ph.D. in Pharmacy or equivalent 6 years teaching/research experience in HEC-recognized postgraduate institute or professional experience in national/international organizations.
Psychology MB/M.Phil. (1st Division) in Psychology or equivalent 6 years teaching/research experience in HEC-recognized postgraduate institute or equivalent professional experience.
Law LLB (1st Division) or equivalent 6 years teaching/research experience in postgraduate institute recognized by HEC.

3. Lecturer (Pay Scale: 08-18, Age: 21-38, Regular/Contract)

Discipline Qualification Experience
Pharmacy MS/M.Phil. (1st Division) or equivalent Relevant teaching/research experience; Ph.D. holders with no more than one 3rd division in entire academic career are eligible.
Psychology MS/M.Phil. (1st Division) or equivalent Relevant teaching/research experience; Ph.D. holders with no more than one 3rd division in entire academic career are eligible.

Important Instructions & Terms

  2. Applications must be complete with original bank draft/deposit slip and submitted by 31-03-2026.

  3. Government/Semi-Government employees must apply through proper channels with a No Objection Certificate.

  4. Associate Professor candidates must submit 4 copies of the application with attested degrees, transcripts, certificates, and research publications.

  5. Separate applications required for open merit and reserved quotas.

  6. Screening test (if applicable) is mandatory for all eligible candidates.

  7. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

  8. Application Fee:

    • HS-20 posts: Rs. 3,000

    • 08-19 posts: Rs. 2,000

    • BS-18 posts: Rs. 1,000
      Fee to be paid via bank draft or deposit in HBL A/C No. 01527913908901 (University of Okara Treasurer).

  9. Applications must be sent in hard copy to the Registrar, University of Okara.

  10. No TA/DA will be provided for test/interview.

  11. Age relaxation as per government policy.

  12. Quotas for disabled persons, minorities, and women will be observed.

  13. The University reserves the right to withdraw, increase, or decrease positions or reject any/all applications without reason.
