VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited for appointments against the following vacant posts in the department’s Crime Wing from suitable candidates:


Available Positions

Position Title Basic Pay Scale (BPS) Number of Posts Quota Required Qualification
Stenographer BPS-14 01 Open Merit Graduation with a 6-month diploma in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and typing speed of 40 wpm in English and Urdu.
Junior Clerk BPS-11 01 Open Merit Graduation from an HEC-recognized university with a typing speed of 25 wpm in English and Urdu and a 6-month diploma in Computer Sciences.


Eligibility Criteria & Recruitment Procedure

  1. The applicant must be a state subject of Jammu and Kashmir (Class-I domicile holder).

  2. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Azad Jammu and Kashmir or a migrant settled in Pakistan who migrated in 1989 or earlier.

  3. Age must be between 18 and 40 years.

  4. Applicants must attach the following attested documents with the application:

    • State subject certificate (Class-I)

    • Domicile certificate

    • Permanent residence certificate (PRC)

    • National identity card (CNIC)

    • Experience certificates (if any)

    • Educational certificates

    • Two recent attested passport-size photographs

  5. Government and semi-government employees must apply through the proper channel with a departmental NOC.

  6. Candidates must possess the requisite educational qualifications and experience as specified.

  7. The applicant must have a good moral character, and a certificate of good conduct must be attached as per rules.

  8. The Competent Authority reserves the right to amend or cancel the advertisement at any time without assigning any reason.

  9. The age limit will be calculated based on the last date of application submission. Any previously received applications under earlier advertisements will be considered according to this date.

  10. Incomplete or late applications, or those not meeting eligibility criteria, will not be entertained.

  11. Original documents must be presented at the time of the interview.

  12. As per letter no. 2003-03-702/S&GAD/Admin AR-4(133)94, vacancies will be filled on open merit, and once a candidate is selected from a district, that district will be excluded from future recruitment.

  13. Only shortlisted candidates will be issued call letters for the test/interview. Candidates must include a registered postal address and contact number with their application.

  14. Candidates who already applied in response to earlier advertisement No. JK1410/12/23 and fulfill the current eligibility criteria do not need to reapply.

  15. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the test or interview.

  16. Applications must be submitted via postal service and must reach the office by July 15, 2025.
