Support to Local Governance Programme (LoGo-II)

As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development' On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Support to Local Governance (LoGo II) Programme supports the local government departments in Punjab and KP to strengthen the regulatory frameworks for effective municipal service delivery and supports the Right to Information Commission and the Right to Services Commission of both provinces to enhance the cooperation between citizens, elected representatives and administrative staff for improving citizen-oriented public service delivery. The programme is seeking a suitable candidate forthe following position:

Job title: Advisor Outreach and Public Dialogue
(Reference No. LoGo-II 2021/007) Duty Station: Lahore
Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in journalism, mass communication, communication management or sciences, civic education, political communication
• At least 5 years professional experience in a comparable position
• Working experience in public relations (private and public sector), dialogue and exchange formats
• Working experience in development cooperation and advisory position would be an asset
• Very good knowledge of RTI, Local Government Law, PR instruments/concepts and journalistic practises
• Excellent understanding of governmental entities and governance in Punjab
• Proven experiences to provide advisory services to governmental entities on dialogue
• Good understanding of Development Cooperation in Pakistan
• Proven networking skills with government, media and civil society
• Very good speaking and writing skills in English and Urdu Language (Punjabi would be an asset)
