INSPECTORATE OF COAL MINES SINDH

SITUATION VACANT

Applications are invited from eligible candidates having domicile of the Province of Sindh for recruitment in the Directorate of Coal Mines Development, Karachi, Energy Department, Government of Sindh. Interested applicants may apply within fifteen (15) days of this advertisement, as per the qualifications and experience detailed below.

1. Accounts Assistant (BPS-14)

Required Qualification

  • B.Com / B.B.A (Finance) with at least 2nd Division, or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.

2. Computer Operator (BPS-12)

  • Number of Posts: 01

  • Age Limit: 18–28 years

Required Qualification

  1. Graduate (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC-recognized university

  2. Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology from an institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE)

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must also fulfill the following requirements before applying:

  1. General Screening Test Requirement:
    Applicants must have passed the STS General Screening Test (Graduation Category) with at least 40% marks, conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS). A valid STS certificate is mandatory.

  2. Age Calculation & Relaxation:

    • Age will be calculated as per the closing date for applications, under Rule-7 of the Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 2024.

    • An upper age relaxation of 5 years is permissible as notified by SGA&CD via Notification No. SOII(SGA&CD)564/2011 (Part-II) dated 06-03-2025.

  3. Quota Observance:
    Provincial/regional quotas for initial appointments will be followed as per Government of Sindh laws, rules, and policy.

  4. Government Employees:
    Applicants already serving in Government departments must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department before submitting the application. They must present the original NOC at the time of interview before the Departmental Selection Committee.

  5. Appointment Policy:
    Recruitment will be conducted under the Policy notified by the Government of Sindh on 26-04-2023, and according to the Sindh Civil Servants Act, 1973, along with all applicable rules and amendments.

  6. Interview Requirement:
    Eligible applicants must appear before the Departmental Selection Committee with original documents on the interview date, which will be announced on the Sindh Job Portal.

  7. No TA/DA:
    No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for appearing in the interview.
