FIA( Federal Investigation Agency) is an government investigation agency.Federal Investigation agency enjoys the respect of the society.The main role of FIA are criminal investigation, border control and security agencies under the Interior Ministry of Pakistan.The main functions of FIA includes enforcement of smuggling related laws,currency offences, Narcotics, Immigration and Passports, Foreigners.FIA came into existence in 1942 during the Second world war to take up investigation of corruption.Power of investigate cases relating to the offences under the Official Secret Act 1923, Foreign Exchange Regulaion Act 1927, Passport Offences 1952, Customs Act 1959.
