Lahore, The results of MCAT entrance test 2013 for medical and dental colleges of Punjab under University of Health Sciences (UHS) has been declared. As many as 41,677 candidates took the test on Sept 22 and 19,063 of them got over 60 percent marks. Around 5,644 candidates got 50 to 59 percent while 5,323 candidates have taken 40 to 49 percent marks. A total of 11,647 candidates scored less than 40 percent marks.

First position went to Mashhood Iqbal of Multan district clinched 1076 marks out of 1100 marks while second position has been taken by Shahwaz Ahmad, s/o Riaz Ahmad of Faisalabad with 1070 marks and Wajeeha Naveed, d/o Naveed Zafar of Gujranwala got third position with1065 marks.
 
Among the 20 public and medical sector colleges students from all over the Punjab province took test for 3, 405 MBBS and 216 BDS seats While in 28 private medical colleges and 12 dental colleges there are 3, 050 MBBS and 715 BDS seats. Students can get the admission forms for admission in government medical and dental colleges from Oct 21 to 26, 2013. Students having at least 80 percent marks as per the formula of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council will be eligible to get admission on merit basis.

On Nov 16 the first merit list will be displayed while classes in all the public sector medical college will be held from Dec 02. 2013.
