Shafqat Mahmood Announces To Consider The Promotion Policy For The Students

The federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood has announced to consider the promotion policy for the students for the academic year 2021. After the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the previous year, it had been declared to promote the students to the next classes without appearing in the annual exams. As the educational institutes across Pakistan remain closed for an extended time period so due to this reason the syllabus could not be completed according to the issued schedule and exams could not be conducted. Apart from the board examination the students of the middle and the primary classes also got promoted so that they can continue to study without wasting their academic year.

Statement of Shafqat Mahmood

The education minister has said that if the situation of the coronavirus will not be under control then the educational institutes including schools, colleges and universities will remain closed. Earlier the meeting of the national command and operation center was held in which the education minister decided to shut down the institutes from 15th March 2021 to 28th March 2021 due to an increase in coronavirus cases in the selected areas of Punjab. Moreover, it has been also added that the government might consider to promote the students without the exams as per the situation of the COVID-19. 

Matric Date Sheet 2021

However, the matric date sheet 2021 for all the Punjab boards has been announced. The candidates are notified to check the issued exam schedule and prepare for the annual exams according to it. Although the schools have been closed the students are instructed to focus on the studies as the date of the exam is approaching. As per the notification issued by the board authorities, the annual exams of the 9th and 10th class will be commenced from 25th May 2021 and 4th May 2021 respectively.
