Seminary sealed, Afghan aspirants arrested in Quetta

Quetta: The security forces closed the seminary in Eastern Bypass area of Quetta on Sunday and took into custody approximately 100 Afghan students.

The arrested aspirants were studying in the seminary without any valid documents.

According to the security official “A search operation was conducted inside the institute and the Afghan aspirants were arrested under Foreigners Act”.

Afterwards the arrested students were later handed over to different police stations for more investigation. The security forces also grasped suspicious literature as well as other material from the seminary.

The security official furthermore said that, the Afghan residents who were illegally staying at the seminary will be deported to Afghanistan. Security forces have strengthened operation in the aftermath of Quetta carnage, which left over 70 people, most of them lawyers, dead.
