Scientific Ravi unveiled at GCU Lahore

The 24th yearly version of The Scientific Ravi, an admired science research magazine of the Government College University (GCU) Lahore, was revealed at a prominent launching ceremony organized at the university. The vice chancellor of university Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah revealed the magazine in presence of its journalistic team, faculty members and the aspirants as well.

While talking to the addressees of the ceremony, the Editor Maham Naz said that the latest version comprises of the 98 articles by the science students of the university, some foreign authors, faculty members and the Old Ravians as well. She moreover added that every department of the university has devotedly given the articles. This present publication furthermore comprises of the latest sections like “How Stuff Works”, “Science Jokes” as well as the “Science versus Myth” which are entertaining and also informative for the booklovers.

While addressing on the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof Shah acclaimed the efforts of the editor of magazine and assistant editors, by saying that the research magazine had been named after the River Ravi as the flowing river was stated as the symbolic continuity of thoughts as well as the sign on pioneering ideas of GCU aspirants, alumni and faculty members which were expressed through the magazine. He moreover said that the publication was also very close to his heart as he had also endured the Advisor, The Scientific Ravi during his tenure as the Lecturer of Physics at Government College University, Lahore.
