Riphah International University signs MoU with Stiki

Islamabad, A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Riphah International University and Stiki Information Security, Iceland, on Thursday.

Dr. Saad Naeem Zafar, dean of the Faculty of Computing at the Riphah International University, and Svana Helen Bjornsdottir, CEO of the Stiki Information Security, signed the MOU.

The main aim of MoU is to develop the global awareness of information security and risk management and build the capacity of Riphah to impart quality education. The programme is jointly offered by Riphah Institute of Systems Engineering (RISE) and Faculty of Computing at Riphah. Stiki has donated 60 licenses of its leading product, RM studio - a software-based tool to manage information security risks and business continuity planning. The total value of the software is 42,500 dollars.

RM Studio is active risk management software, designed for organizations to report risk management and business continuity objectives.

Riphah International University was established by Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT) to report research oriented professional education with the focus on Islamic ethical values. The university was chartered by the Federal Government of Pakistan in 2002.

Its first educational project was the Islamic International Medical College established in 1996. It has now seven faculties offering more than 45 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in various disciplines.

The University has affiliations with the famous national and international institutions. Recently it has established a strategic linkage with the Northern Consortium of eleven United Kingdom universities (NCUK).

Riphah International University is committed to promoting and imparting quality education in basic, social and applied sciences in particular with the character building of new generation in the light of Islamic principles and values.

University has its offshore venture (RAK College of Dental Sciences) at Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates offering the degree of Bachelors in dental Surgery (BDS) duly accredited by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abu Dhabi-UAE. RIU has unique environment which is un common in most of the modern universities that is not only conductive or learning but also offers great sense of ethics and morality.
