DR. Azra Pechuho, Health Minister of Sindh talked about the reopening of schools. She said that the reopening of schools in Pakistan may lead to Coronavirus second and third phases. She warned against the coronavirus pandemic and suggested not to open schools until the pandemic is over. The reason behind it is that children cannot be stopped socializing and they won’t follow the guidelines properly.

Sindh Health Minister's Suggestions

While talking to media she declared, she believes that we should not open the primary and middle schools until the pandemic is over. Social distancing cannot be possible for small children. They would shake hands and hug each other and won’t follow the SOPs. In a small classroom, we have almost 50 students. Under this situation, it is difficult to arrange a sitting plan according to the designed SOPs. Small children may cause the spread of the virus. They can spread the virus frequently and can also carry it to their houses. This may lead to the second and third phases of Coronavirus.

The duration of November and December is considered the flu season in the country. The experts have declared that this duration may lead the second wave of coronavirus throughout the country. The second and third waves of the pandemic may be more lethal and dangerous than that of the first wave.

Control The Spread Of Coronavirus

Health Minister discussed that the institutes of senior students, colleges and universities in Pakistan, can be opened by following all the precautionary measures. It is the responsibility of teachers and students to follow all the designed SOPs, wear masks, maintain social distancing, use sanitizers, and wash hands frequently. Moreover, the health minister declares that the patients who recovered from the virus have not developed the proper antibodies in their blood. So, they have to follow the SOPs properly to control the second and third waves of the virus.
