Lahore, Punjab University is going to conduct a mega ceremony on December 14 in order to distribute laptop among newly admitted morning and evening students of the university on merit.
In this regard, a high level meeting presided over by PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran was held at Al-Raazi Hall of Undergraduate Study Centre in which of deans, principals and heads of all the departments participated to review arrangements.
Around 8,500 laptops will be distributed among newly admitted morning and evening students of 3rd year, 5th year, M Phill and PhD on merit.
Punjab University has awarded 03 PhD degrees to the scholars in which Asghar Ali S/o Niaz Muhammad in the subject of Education after approval of his thesis entitled “A Study of the Effectiveness of Training Program in Changing the Teachers’ Attitude Towards Students’ Corporal Punishment”, Malik Nisar Ahmad S/o Malik Umar ud Din in the subject of South Asian Studies after approval of his thesis entitled “The Socio-Political Status of Muslims in India (1980-2006)’’ and Anas Nazar S/o Abdul Rehman Madni in the subject of Islamic Studies after approval of his thesis entitled “The Principles of Tafseer: An Analytical and Comparative Study of Approaches of Hameed-Ud-Deen Farahi and Jamhoor Mafassreen”.
The University of the Punjab established in 1882 which is the largest and the oldest seat of higher learning in Pakistan.
