The Punjab government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting talented and deserving students by continuing financial assistance through the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF), enabling eligible students to pursue higher education up to the master’s level. The initiative aims to remove financial barriers and ensure that capable students are not forced to discontinue their education due to economic hardships.

The PEEF scholarship program has long been recognized as one of Punjab’s flagship education support initiatives. It provides merit- and need-based scholarships to students from low-income families, helping them continue their academic journey from intermediate to undergraduate and now master’s degree programs. The latest scholarship cycle further strengthens the government's focus on promoting equal educational opportunities across the province.

According to the eligibility criteria, applicants must hold a Punjab domicile and have secured at least 60 percent marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in their graduation-level examination. Students admitted to recognized universities for master's, MS, MPhil, MA, or MSc programs can apply, provided they fulfill both merit and financial need requirements. Candidates receiving another scholarship during the same academic year are generally not eligible under PEEF rules.

The scholarship program is designed to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds while also reserving quotas for special categories, including orphans, children of government employees in lower pay scales, minority students, and students with disabilities, subject to the program's policy guidelines.

Education experts have welcomed the continued expansion of the PEEF initiative, stating that financial assistance at the postgraduate level will encourage more students to pursue advanced education and develop professional skills. They believe the program can contribute significantly to producing a highly qualified workforce capable of supporting Pakistan’s economic and social development.

PEEF has awarded thousands of scholarships since its establishment and remains one of the country's largest education financing initiatives. The fund continues to collaborate with public sector universities and recognized degree-awarding institutions to ensure transparent distribution of scholarships among deserving students.

Students interested in applying are advised to carefully review the official eligibility criteria, complete the required application forms, and submit all supporting documents before the announced deadline. The scholarship offers a valuable opportunity for talented students to continue their higher education without facing financial constraints.
