The University of the Punjab (PU) has released its admission policy for the 2025-26 academic session, making the PU Admission Test compulsory for all undergraduate applicants. The test will take place on 15th June 2025 (Sunday) across multiple cities in Pakistan.
Eligible candidates include:
Students who have completed HSSC (FA/FSc/ICS/I.Com)
Those awaiting HSSC Part-II results
The admission test covers seven major subject groups, each contributing 25% to the overall merit:
Pre-Engineering (PU-E)
Pre-Medical (PU-M)
Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (PU-AHS)
ICS (Physics Combination) (PU-CSP)
ICS (Statistics Combination) (PU-CSS)
General Science (PU-GS)
Commerce (PU-COM)
Note: Last year’s test scores will not be accepted for the 2025 admissions.

Engineering: Accepts PU Test, ECAT (UET), or SAT scores
LLB: Requires both LAT and PU Test
Art & Design: Additional practical test after clearing PU Test
