Private Schools To Call The Students Once A Week For Assigning Homework

The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has allowed the private schools to call the students once a week for assigning homework. There are various schools that had been facing difficulty while teaching the online classes to the students so in order to facilitate them PEIRA took this decision so that the students can take the regular lectures without any disruption. Now the educational institutes without online teaching facilities can call the students. Earlier the government had ordered to close all the educational institutes including schools, colleges, universities, and tuition centers across Pakistan. 

Statement of Federal Education Minister

According to the federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood the institutes will remain closed till 10th January 2021 and the students will attend the online lectures till 24th December. The students will study from home and there will be no physical attendance in the educational institutes. Similarly, the students of the vocational institutes will also continue their on-job training according to the schedule provided by the government. Afterward, winter vacations will be started. Due to the fear of the second wave of coronavirus pandemic the institutes had been closed to curb the spread of the virus. According to the notification issued by the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority, there will be strict and proper implementation of standard operating procedures when the students will attend the schools to get their homework. 

Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference

The authority assured that the protection of the students is the top priority so all the necessary preventative measures will be taken. Previously in the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference, it was decided to allow the schools so that they can call the students one or two days per week for submitting the homework. No decision has been finalized by the provincial educational ministers in this regard. However, the Private school association has also announced to reopen the private schools from 11th January without waiting for the final decision of the government. The association stated that they will not accept the extension in the closure of the educational institutes after 10th January 2021.
