Yesterday (Sunday) was actually a special day for more than 450 aspirants of the Iqra University as the University hosted its 14th convocation at its Defence View campus.
The event served as a farewell ceremony for the aspirants who will now go on to enter the fields involving the media, IT and telecommunication industry, engineering, fashion as well as textile design and marketing also. The graduating batch takes in BA, MA, M.phil and PhD aspirants.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Hunaid H Lakhani, during his address to the graduates, advised all the aspirants to do quality and hard work in their fields and lives. He called for every aspirant to appreciate the sacrifices made by their parents to support their studies as well as to ensure their efforts were paid in the fullest.
Before the degree awarding ceremony, the vice-chancellor of University presented a progress report of the institute in the field of academics, research as well as in extra-curricular activities.
