Over 44,000 aspirants appeared in the combined ECAT enterance test held on Sunday for admission in engineering institutions of Punjab against 6,000 seats of BSc Engineering as well as BS Technology.

The test conducted by the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore was at the same time held at UET Main Campus, G T Road, Lahore, UET, Kala Shah Kaku Campus, UET, Taxila, International Islamic University, Islamabad, College of Engineering & Technology, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, NFC Institute of Engineering & Technology, Khanewal Road, Multan College of Engineering, Islamia University, Bahawalpur, Government College of Technology, Rahim Yar Khan, NFC Institute of Engineering and Fertilizer Research, Faisalabad, University of Gujrat, Gujrat, Government College of Technology, Rasul as well as Dr. A. Q. Khan Institute of Technology, Mianwali.

 Vice-Chancellor of University of engineering and Technology Lahore Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid visited the various examination centres and also communicated with the media persons. While conversing to the media persons, he said that they were increasing 100 more seats this year. Furthermore, he proposed to the Federal HEC as well as Punjab HEC for the centralization of the test. However, ECAT entrance test result 2015 will be announced on 28th August 2015
