Objections Laid On The Decision To Promote Students Without Exams

The decision to promote inters and matric students without examination are facing some serious objections. There is no section or act in Pakistani education board law to promote students without examination. To promote students without examination requires changes in Board Current act.

According to sources the decision of the passing Matric and intermediate students without exams is facing serious criticism. This develops a great cloudy situation for the future of these students. Different individuals of law are considering this decision flawed by the education department of Pakistan.

According to the ministry of law, it is mandatory to make changes in education board law to promote students without exams. This will require a tremendous amount of time and the changes should be made by keeping in mind all possible future incidents. To promote students to the next classes’ education board should pass an ordinance from the government.

Where it all Begins:

The conflict arose when all province and education boards decided to promote matric and inter students without taking board exams. Sindh was the Last province to act on this decision. This decision was taken by undermining the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is impossible to follow the SOPs of Pandemic during board exams. Because there are over 2.5 million students who are taking part in this year’s board exams. Maintaining a safe environment is not possible in this condition. Keeping in mind the current situation, the education board decided to promote students without exams in the last month.

Why This Decision Is Facing So Much Criticism:

The main concern of the ministry of education about this decision is that there are 9 education boards in which over 2.5 million students are enrolled. It doesn’t seem like a good plan for future education.On the other hand, education board management has said that they are following all the instructions given by the federal government. Keep in mind the current corona situation has put a brake on all country education sectors.

Students from class 1 to 8th have been already promoted to the next classes. After the end of the pandemic, students will sit in their new classes with new books. Even the Cambridge school system has promoted students to the next classes. The markings will be done on the base of their class homework and assignments.

On the other hand, the supplementary Exams for BDS and BSC Nursing and Doctorate of physiotherapy have been announced and will be taken soon under the management of UHS (University of health and sciences).
