The result 2019 of matric class got declared on Monday (15-Jun-2019) those students are very happy who got top positions in their exams. The matric result shows promising young generation for our country future but there is another debate that is taking place alongside all these good things for students. Why the current government is not giving huge rewards to matric position holders, where the last government used to allot good rewards for the matric position holders.
According to a survey different kind of factors are playing a role in this particular matter that also concerns the youth of this country. The education budget of Pakistan has always been lowest alongside budget for other institutes of the country but there has been never a year when position holders didn’t get good rewards. This year there is reward allotted to those students who get positions in the board but they are not in that volume that position holders used to get in the past government. Few factors are following which are playing part in this particular matter and they are follows.
PTI government is new and still learning
After struggling for 21 years in the politics Imran khan has never ever tasted the power of being a government official. So they are new to making policies and knowing what to do in the specific time on the other hand PPP and PML-N has been in the government for over last 15 years so they know what kind of protocols are given to the position holders in matric.
PTI is giving more attention to scholarships
PTI has always been on a motive that education is a more important issue in this country than another facility, so instead of giving big prize money and laptop schemes for students they are more focusing on giving scholarships to students in good institutes. Education is the best reward for a student and that is the motive that PTI government is following.
New assembly budget
The National Assembly has just passed the countries new budget recently and there is a 12 percent increase in the education quota than previous government budget. This quota according to PTI officials will be used to make new government schools and colleges in that area where the education sector has never shown its interest. PTI thinks that instead of giving huge reward to top position holders it is better to improve the standard of government educational institutes in the country.
So these are few of the top things that came in front of the reward of this year position holders but it is not mandatory that PTI government is never going to give students any reward in the future this is their first year in government the things will hopefully going to change in the next year. There are no official orders for this kind of rewards from the government yet but hopefully, this government can change the people perspective about them.
