Kashmir Solidarity Day To Be Observed Today On 5th February

On 5th February the Kashmir day is observed to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Kashmir is known as the heaven on earth but after the independence of Pakistan, Indian forces forcefully occupied Kashmir. Now more than seven decades the Kashmiris are brutalized, mugged, and ignored. However, the resolution was passed by the united nation in 1947 to decide the fate of the areas as per the consensus of Kashmiri citizens and Pakistan had withdrawn their forces but the UN resolution was not completely acted upon. 

Kashmir Conflict

After the end of the era of British rules, the partition was decided for the sub-continent. In this regard, all the parties agreed that the Muslim populated areas will come under Pakistan while the rest of the areas will be ruled by India. But the Indian rulers conspired against Pakistan and take the part of Kashmir which is known as occupied Kashmir. Three wars between India and Pakistan had been fought over this issue. Since then the beautiful valley of Kashmir had been captured by India and many innocent people have lost their life. On the social media platforms, many issues were raised over the human rights violations in Kashmir valley. The horrific acts of abuse, torture, and victimization have been reported from the past four decades. 

Issue Of Kashmir

Since the resolution of the united nation was passed to solve the issue of Kashmir, Pakistan had supported to make the decision as per the choice of Kashmiri citizens. The prime minister of Pakistan as well as the government officials have raised this serious issue on the international forums. The current Prime minister Imran Khan had earlier given the speech in the general assembly of the UN that had gathered immense appreciation from the Muslim community from all over the world. The need of the hour is that the international community should seriously consider the matter of Kashmir and solve the conflict. Furthermore, the international organizations should force India to stop its brutal acts in Kashmir so that problem can be resolved. 

Arrangements For Kashmir Solidarity Day

To show harmony with the people of Kashmir various programs have been prepared for the 5th February at the district and provincial level. At the schools and colleges, authorities have arranged debate and essay writing competitions. Moreover, the Kashmiri and Pakistani flags and slogans are displayed at railway stations, bus stands, roads, and public places. However, it has been directed to ensure security and proper implementation of the coronavirus SOPs during all the activities.
