HEC Issues Schedule For the Registration of Law Graduate Assessment Test (GAT)

The higher education commission of Pakistan has issued the schedule for the registration of the law graduate assessment test. The candidates who intend to apply for the GAT test are notified to check the requirements before submitting the application form. According to the defined eligibility criteria, the applicants who have completed the bachelor's or equivalent from the university recognized with the HEC/PBC are eligible to apply. The HEC conducts this exam thrice a year for the candidates that want to be enrolled as an advocate with the bar council. By conducting this test the commission selects the eligible candidates from the thousands of applicants.

Registration Process

• The applicants have to fulfill the requirements and submit the online application form. 
• It is pertinent to mention here that the authorities will not accept the submitted application forms. 
• The application of processing fee of Rs. 3000/- that should be submitted in the Habib bank limited, Account No. O 112790056740, Account Title: Higher Education Commission and Branch Code: 0112. The application processing fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. 
• The candidates are required to submit the hard copy of the application form along with the required academic documents. 

Test Details

• According to the HEC officials, the test will be commenced on 11th April 2021. 
• To conduct the test HEC has provided the curriculum and the MCQs will be asked.
• Any change in the test date will be informed to the students via SMS/Email.
• The commission issues the roll number slip to the students a week earlier than the conduction of the test.
• The candidates are required to mention the valid phone number and email address on the application form as the test date and the venue of the examination hall will be communicated to the students via phone number/email address. 
• The test will be commenced in the various cities and the students can select one center from the available list, however, it is informed to the candidates that after the selection the candidates will not be able to make any change in it. 

Last Date to Apply

The last date to apply for the HEC law GAT test is 26th March 2021. The candidates are notified to submit the application form before the last date. The candidates have to score 50% marks on the test. Moreover, the higher education commission provides three chances to the students to qualify for the test.
