Sialkot: The Sialkot education department declared announced a holiday for the aspirants of the Government Girls High School, Bhoth, after three to four feet high floodwater that swamped it after recent flash floods could not be drained out.

On the first of school after ending summer vacation on Monday, the aspirants had to sit outside the school for their classes.

On Tuesday again, the students as well as their teachers could not enter the school and its management suddenly announced a holiday for them.

A team of the district management, commanded by the Additional District Collector General Dr Umer Sher Chattha, reached the school to check the situation on the command of District Coordination Officer (DCO) Dr Asif Tufail.

The senior administrators of education and buildings departments also reached there together with the machinery to drain out the water. Teachers, aspirants as well as their parents all are disturbed because of the situation.

After watching this situation parents said that they will not send their daughters to the school till complete draining out of floodwater.

Asif Tufail said that the efforts were on to ensure the draining of floodwater from the school. He furthermore said that an explanation had also been sought from the concerned representatives for their carelessness.
