GCU Faisalabad celebrating International Women’s Day today

Faisalabad, Government College University GCU Faisalabad is going to celebrate the International Women’s Day on 7th and 8th March 2014. In this regard certificates will be presented to all female participants on International Women’s Day 2014.

Moreover, GCUF has announced the schedule of free laptop scheme. Eligibility criteria lies on the students who are admitted in Fall Semester 2013, minimum 60% marks in Previous Degree (in case of Annual Exam System), minimum 70% marks in Previous Degree (in case of Semester Exam System) and all the students studying in MS / MPhil / PhD program.

List of Eligible Students of BA / B.Sc / BS / MA / M.Sc / Undergraduate and MS / M.Phil / Ph.D can be seen at the GCUF official website www.gcuf.edu.pk and registration proforma can also be downloaded there.

Documents needed to be attached with the form are Copy of CNIC, Copy of Student Card / Fee Voucher, Copy of Result Card of Previous Degree. The announcement is only for the fall semester 2013 students.

The GC University firstly started functioning as a primary school in 1897 in the present building of Govt. College for Women, Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad. Further it was promoted to High School and Intermediate College in 1905 and 1924 respectively.

Then it was upraised to the degree level in 1933 and postgraduate disciplines were introduced in 1963. The university got the degree awarding status in October 2002.
