International Women’s Day celebrated at Government College Mustafabad

Lahore, International Women’s Day organized at Government Degree College for women and the keynote chief guest at this event was Mrs. Saleem. She delivered the speech on the rights of women and recognition of women contribution toward welfare of society. Mrs. Saleem said most of the women are in every segment of life and especially remarkable efforts in science and health, education sector. Women are not behind anyone and proved their abilities were not lessen anyone.
 
Women around the globe play an important role in developing a society. A woman plays multiple roles everyday she is a sacrificing mother, an obedient wife, a loving daughter and a caring sister. However, the status of Pakistani women varies considerably across classes, regions, and the rural/urban divide due to social, cultural and economical differences. Therefore, International Women’s Day.

International Women’s Day is celebrated throughout the world on March 8th every year.

Addressing the ceremony, the Principal Mrs. Naheed said that this day is marked as a major day of global celebration of women. In Pakistan, working women in different sectors celebrate International Women’s Day every year to celebrate their ongoing struggle for due rights, in spite of cultural and religious restrictions.

Pakistan which was working for the women’s rights for the last six decades. She urged society to eliminate the discrimination against women.
