What is the Final Decision OF HEC about BA/BSC and MA/MSC Study Programs?

Last time we came with the recent announcement of Higher Education Commission, HEC, according to which HEC clearly announced that there is no more existence of BA/BSC or MA/MSC program will continue in the Pakistani higher education system.

Final Date of BA/BSC Study Program

Students are still getting confused by this announcement and are not approaching to the final decision or deadline. So, once again we come to make our students aware that, what is actually going to happen with them. Students who have passed their intermediate examination and also the students who are waiting for their result at the intermediate level of education are to inform that they cannot continue their studies with the BA/BSC program. On the other hand, the education ministry is offering associate degrees or honor degrees according to which students will be able to get admission in their desire filed of education. This degree will be of 04 years degree and students go through the semester system in this degree.

Final Date of MA/MSC Study Program

However, students who have enrolled in bachelor i.e. BA/BSC program, in the last year 2018, are allowed to continue their degree. However, students who have, recently, passed their bachelor i.e. BA/BSC degree still have a chance to get admission in MA/MSC program by 2020. Students are clearly informed that this is the last chance for them to secure admission in MA/MSC program because in 2020 students will not be allowed to get admission in MA/MSC program.

Moreover, students who will pass their BA/BSC program next year, in 2020, they will be allowed to get admission in the fifth semester of associate or honor degree in their desired field. But, students will be offered with Admission after meeting with the required admission criteria. In the last, if students have a question that why HEC has introduced this system then students are to inform that the main objective behind this step is to compete with the international higher education system.
