The Education Authority has initiated action against multiple private schools that reopened in violation of government instructions to remain closed until September 1. Officials confirmed that show-cause notices have been served to the administrations, directing them to appear for personal hearings and explain their decision.
According to reports from a private news channel, the institutions facing notices include Lyceum School GT Road, Honors Kindergarten School GT Road, and Beaconhouse School’s Boys and Girls Campus Township. The crackdown also names Beacon house Gulberg, Beacon house Johar Town, Allied School near Railway Headquarters, MUKAF Learning Campus near Metro Station, The Punjab School Canal Garden, Dimension School, and The Educators Sehar Campus.
The Education Authority further revealed that these schools had resumed academic activities despite clear government orders. To ensure compliance, Punjab has also launched a helpline for citizens to report any school reopening before the official date.
Officials stressed that the heads of the institutions must justify their actions and face potential penalties for defying the directive. The move signals the Education Authority’s commitment to enforcing rules and ensuring the safety of students.
