DUHS to conduct workshop on "Basic Surgical Skills" tomorrow

Karachi, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) Karachi is going to organize Workshop on "Basic Surgical Skills" on Tuesday November, 27 2012 at 09:00 am to 02:00 pm at Professional Development Center, 4th Floor, New Academic Block, DMC.
DUHS Examinations Department has also announced that Workshop on "Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support" will be held on 27, 28 and 29th November 2012 at 09:00 am to 05:00 pm at 2nd Floor, PDC, Dow International Medical College, Ojha Campus.
The university has announced that The 21st All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2012 was held at Cadet College Petaro, Jamshoro. A total of 24 teams from 42 different Universities, Colleges, and Public Schools of Pakistan participated in this contest.
It is the most desirable competition of Pakistan. Sindh Secretary for Education and Literacy Development, Mukhtar Hussain Soomro was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Muhammad Wasi, 4th Year Student of Dow Medical College participated in the contest and won 3rd prize in English Debate competition with his excellent humorous speech.
Meanwhile DUHS has declared that under the auspice of Sindh Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, a 4-day Karachi Youth Festival 2012 was held from 12th November to 15th November, 2012 at Art Council of Pakistan Karachi.
The Karachi Youth Festival 2012 is organized by Sindh Youth Affairs in collaboration with Art Council of Pakistan Karachi to provide youth a platform where they can show their talent. There were many competition which includes Debate Competition, Bait Bazi Competition, Theater Competition, Photography Competition, Short Film Competition, Textile/Fashion Designing, Battle of the Band, Painting Competition, singing Competition, calligraphy Competition, quiz Competition etc.
Dow Medical College, a constituent institution of Dow University of Health Sciences participated in the Karachi Youth Festival. Sadia Hameed, 4th year Student of Dow Medical College participated in Urdu Debate Competition and won the 3rd prize in the competition. She also received Shield, Certificate and Cash prize from Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ibaad.
