College student shot dead in Abbottabad

Abbottabad: A college students in Abbottabad was gunned down on Thursday, said police officials.  

The student was among three people who were killed in various incidents in the Hazara division on Thursday.

According to the police and eyewitnesses Samiullah, the son of Abdul Wakeel and an inhabitant of Dasu in Kohistan, was studying at the Government Degree College for Boys Abbottabad.

On Wednesday evening, he was sitting at a hotel on Link Road when at almost 9:20 pm; two unknown assailants riding on a motorbike approached him.

One of the bike riders at first attacked him along with an axe before shooting him with a gun. Samiullah died on the spot.

The attackers managed to escape.

While the reasons behind murder were not instantly known, police believed it can be associated to some past enmity.
