The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has officially released the updated date sheet for the Annual Matriculation Examination 2026 (Class 9 and Class 10). The announcement comes after the examination schedule was temporarily postponed due to the board’s ongoing transition from a manual system to a fully digital platform.
According to the newly issued schedule, the Class 10th (SSC Part-II) annual exams will commence on April 10, 2026 , while the Class 9th (SSC Part-I) annual exams will start on April 11, 2026 . The detailed PDF date sheet, a copy of which is available with this reporter, outlines the paper timings, subject combinations, and essential instructions for candidates.

Students and parents can download the official BSEK Matric Datesheet 2026 PDF from the board’s official website (www.bsek.edu.pk). The PDF is also being circulated at all affiliated schools and examination centers across Karachi. Candidates are strongly advised to print a copy and cross-check their elective subjects against the official schedule.
The transition to a digital platform, though causing a brief postponement, is expected to benefit students in the long run. A senior BSEK official stated that future processes, including online admission forms, digital roll number slips, and result gazettes, will become more transparent and accessible. For 2026, students are encouraged to regularly check the BSEK website and their school notice boards for any last-minute updates.
With less than six weeks remaining before the first paper, candidates are urged to accelerate their revision. The board has assured that all examination centers will be equipped with CCTV surveillance and strict security measures to ensure fair conduct.
