The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Gujranwala officially announced the Intermediate Part-I (11th Class) Annual Result 2025 on October 15, 2025. This year’s examination began on May 20, 2025, and concluded on June 13, 2025. A total of 145,417 candidates from six districts — Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, and Sialkot appeared in the exams. The board recorded an overall pass percentage of 49.95%, marking a moderate performance compared to the previous year.
According to the official notification, the result has been published online and made available through the BISE Gujranwala website (www.bisegrw.com). Regular candidates can collect their result cards from their respective institutions, while private candidates will receive them by post.

The result analysis shows notable differences across study groups. The Pre-Medical Group performed the best overall with a 64.52% pass rate, while the Commerce Group achieved an impressive 85% pass percentage, albeit with fewer candidates.
The Pre-Engineering Group showed a 41.71% success rate, reflecting the academic challenges of science subjects. In contrast, the Humanities Group produced a 51.45% pass rate, and the General Science Group maintained 46.24%.
Gender-based statistics highlight that female students once again outperformed males. Female candidates scored a 62.90% pass rate, while male students managed 49.97%. This consistent trend underscores the growing academic excellence of girls across Gujranwala Division.
According to the official gazette, Islamic Education (Compulsory) recorded a remarkable 98.06% pass rate, while Translation of Holy Quran stood at 98.86%, reflecting strong performances in religious studies. Among science subjects, Biology had a 72.21% pass rate, and Physics followed with 81.62%. Chemistry remained challenging for many, with 74.56% of students passing.
In humanities, Education (87.59%), Civics (87.44%), and Psychology (68.10%) were popular subjects with steady performance. Computer Science continued to attract thousands of candidates, achieving a 79.01% pass percentage, showing growing interest in IT education among students.
However, Mathematics remained a difficult subject, where only 62.94% of students succeeded. English (Compulsory) saw a 74.00% pass rate, indicating a balanced performance in language proficiency.
The BISE Gujranwala jurisdiction covers six major districts — Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, and Mandi Bahauddin. Among these, urban colleges of Gujranwala city recorded the highest success ratios, with Punjab College, KIPS College, and Superior College achieving excellent group-wise results.
For example, Punjab College for Girls, Civil Lines, reported over 80% success in the Pre-Medical group, while KIPS College for Girls, GT Road, achieved more than 79% overall pass rate. On the other hand, rural colleges displayed mixed results, indicating a continued gap in educational facilities between rural and urban areas.

The examination department reported 1,129 cases of unfair means, along with 113 external complaints. Most cases were resolved before the announcement, while a few remain under action. The board has warned institutions and candidates to maintain transparency and academic integrity in future examinations.
Several students were disqualified until the next annual examination, as per the disciplinary action records mentioned in the gazette. The Controller of Examinations, Dr. M. Ahtsham Jan Butt, emphasized that strict measures will continue to ensure fair assessment and uphold the credibility of the board.
The board informed that a small number of results are marked as “Result Later (RL)” due to issues such as non-adjustment of fees, eligibility discrepancies, or missing documents. Students with less than passing marks in one or more subjects can reappear in those papers along with the Part-II Annual Examination 2026.
Private candidates with pending results are advised to contact the Assistant Controller (Inter Part-I) at 055-3894828 for further guidance, while regular candidates should reach out through their respective institutions.
The board’s administration expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of examinations and the timely declaration of results. Dr. Butt appreciated the efforts of teachers, examiners, and students for maintaining academic discipline across all examination centers.
He further emphasized that digital transparency and automated result compilation systems have significantly reduced discrepancies and result delays this year. The board aims to further enhance e-governance by introducing an online rechecking system and SMS result service in the next session.
