Government Launches a Landmark Initiative for Digital Empowerment
The Balochistan government has taken a significant step toward empowering its youth through a new Information Technology (IT) skills development program. Announced by Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare, Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai, the initiative aims to prepare young people across the province for the growing digital economy. Speaking at an event attended by youth, tribal elders, and political figures, Noorzai emphasized that the province’s future prosperity depends on education, skills, and moral integrity. He urged parents, educators, and community leaders to work collectively to nurture a generation capable of leading Balochistan toward progress and innovation.
The program, launched under the Social Welfare Department, focuses on equipping the youth with practical IT skills essential for both local and international employment opportunities. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity, the initiative highlights the government’s vision of ensuring equal digital access for all, including differently-abled individuals.

Partnership with Saylani Welfare Trust for Skill-Based Learning
To implement this ambitious project, the Balochistan government has partnered with Saylani Welfare Trust, one of Pakistan’s most respected organizations in the field of vocational and digital education. Through this collaboration, more than 800 male and female students will receive professional IT training in different phases. The comprehensive 10-month training program will focus on modern IT disciplines such as computer programming, graphic design, freelancing, and digital marketing.
The Social Welfare Department is fully supporting the initiative by providing essential facilities, including buildings, halls, electricity, and administrative support. A key feature of the program is a special batch of 50 differently-abled students, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive education and digital participation. These students will receive customized training and guidance to help them secure online employment and contribute productively to society.
Saylani Welfare Trust’s involvement ensures that participants gain hands-on experience aligned with market trends, enabling them to pursue remote work opportunities and freelancing careers. This strategic public-private partnership is expected to strengthen Balochistan’s digital infrastructure and uplift the socioeconomic status of its youth.

Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai credited the success of this initiative to the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, who has prioritized youth empowerment and digital literacy in the province’s development agenda.
