After Khadim Rizvi, Rehman Malik Comes with a Plan to Wipe out Pakistan's Debts

The chief advisor of Tehrike Labaik Pakistan, TLP, Maulana Khadim Rizvi came with his free prescription for repaying debts of Pakistan. During a speech to his followers, he addressed Pakistan that,
“tell them all that Pakistan would not pay the interest because it is forbidden in our religion Islam. Pakistan would only pay the basic amount but only when Pakistan would have enough amount to repay the debts. He added his words that if anyone would come to threaten Pakistan then tell them Pakistan would release Ghori.”

This prescription from Khadim Rizvi made people shocked that how would it be implemented. Instead of taking the prescription of Maulana seriously, the masses took it as a joke and just laughed upon this prescription.

Rehman Malik Advice To Payoff Pakistan’s Debt

However, after Khadim Rizvi, another political leader came to solve the debts issues of Pakistan. Yes! Mr. Rehman Malik comes with a solution and tells us that through Force Majeure we can solve the issues of Pakistan’s debt.

Force Majeure is a clause or policy according to which both of the parties under an agreement can be freeze from the liabilities and obligations. This section obeys under extra-ordinary situations or unexpected events. It is considered that the covid-19 can be taken as such an extraordinary situation. Rahman Malik offers his motif that due to the pandemic, Covid-19 Pakistan is going under the worst situation and Pakistan is also suffering economically. Under this situation, Pakistan can claim for Force Majeure section. He further says that we should take notice that whether we are eligible for the Force Majeure clause or not. If we come under the situation then the Government should take notice of it and try to make Pakistan free from debt.

How Government Should Take This Clause

Rahman Malik in his statement has confirmed that he would take his motif to Senate as a resolution and would also make discussion with opposition leaders and Qaid e Aewan (Leader of the House). If the motif is really helpful for Pakistan to get relaxation in the debts then Government should take positive decisions against this idea.
