Admission Policy for MDCAT 2020 Announced

The admission process of the year 2020-2021 for the medical and dental colleges is finally started after being delayed for two months due to the spread of novel coronavirus. According to the sources, the entrance exam will be conducted from 15th August 2020 to 15th September 2020. Each province has to hold the written test as per the mentioned schedule.

Eligibility Criteria

To appear in the MDCAT the students must have at least 65% marks in intermediate. It is pertinent to mention here that previously the students that secured 70% marks in intermediate were only eligible to give the test. But this year the competent authority has changed the policy as the Baluchistan raised the concern over this matter. Basically, there were fewer students in the Baluchistan that have 70% marks so due to this reason they did not fall into the eligibility criteria provided by the affiliated authority. After considering the concerns of this province it has been decided the eligibility criteria to appear in the medical entry test is to have 65% marks in intermediate. 

Passing Criteria

Moreover, the students having less than 33% marks will not be considered eligible to take admission in the medical college.
