DAE Introduction & Overview

DAE – The Diploma of Associate Engineering is a three-year post-secondary diploma in which students can study various subjects related to different engineering fields, i.e. civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering etc. This diploma is equivalent to inter-level engineering program in Pakistan. DAE Duration

According to the Boards of Technical Education of Pakistan, the duration of a DAE diploma in Pakistan is three years. Students can be eligible for this diploma after the completion of matric or SSC education in science. This diploma is treated as equivalent to inter or FSC Engineering in Pakistan. There are many private and government institutes in Pakistan that offer DAE courses.

DAE Affiliations & Accreditations

The accreditation of DAE is approved by the Boards of Technical Education along with other diplomas and vocational education in Pakistan. The difference between DAE and FSC pre-engineering is that the duration of FSC pre-engineering is two years and the duration of DAE is three years. It is really difficult to get a job after FSC pre-engineering, but on the other hand, it is really easy to get a decent job after a DAE diploma. The course outline is also really different, as FSC pre-engineering is a foundation course for the undergraduate engineering programs but the DAE is a technical diploma which mainly focuses on practical workshops.
