Yashfeen College of Pharmacy

Yashfeen College of Pharmacy is a private medical and allied health institution, which is run by the Yashfeen Education System (YES) and is situated in Shahdara, 9-Saeed Park, Ravi Road, 9-Saeed, Lahore. It has a doctoral program, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) that is affiliated with the University of the Punjab and accredited by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. It provides Pharm-D program in the morning and evening sessions which give flexibility to students. YES also operates allied health programs and post-secondary courses and programs at the diploma or certificate level, in addition to pharmacy education, with a focus on modern healthcare training and professional development.

Programs Offered

YES provides a wide variety of programs of academic and professional training in pharmacy and allied health sciences. The undergraduate level degree is the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) which is a five year course that incorporates training and internship. Other significant degree programs are the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), the BS Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) and the BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics (HND)-each of which is 4 year programs in most cases. The college also offers other diploma and technician level courses including Pharmacy Technician (Category-B), Dispenser, Radiography and Imaging Technician, Operation Theater Technician, and Public Health Technician, which provide the students with a variety of career opportunities in the medical field.

Yashfeen Education System (YES) offers a student-friendly learning environment that is modern. The college is also fitted with modern science and pharmacy labs, digitally integrated library, and large lecture halls which also facilitate both theoretical and practical learning. Admission Process

YES admissions normally start with the publication of the annual prospectus, both online and on campus. The students apply by handing in their application forms with the necessary documents and a processing fee that cannot be refunded. Certain programs, including Pharm-D, could be entry test or interview based to test suitability. Once the merit list is done, the shortlisting candidates are required to undergo the verification of their documents, payment of the fees, and orientation, after which the classes occur. Eligibility Criteria

To be admitted in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) program, a candidate has to have passed F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or any other equivalent qualification that includes A-levels in Biology, Physics and Chemistry, and have scored at least 60%. The foreign or equivalent qualified students are required to have an equivalence certificate by IBCC. In the case of allied health programs, the applicants are required to possess matric or intermediate level of science. In support of documents like CNIC or B-Form, photographs and domicile are also required. In order to sustain the enrolments or scholarships, the students should satisfy the academic performance requirements of YES and the University of the Punjab.

Fee Structure

Yashfeen College of Pharmacy has a fee structure that comprises of one time fee like the admission and registration fee, and fee that covers semester or yearly fees, which are tuition and labor lab, library and administrative services. In case of programs such as Pharm-D where the duration is five years, the expenses would be high in the first year which includes admission and registration fees, other years are mainly concerned with tuition and academic services. University and Pharmacy Council registration are also included in the fee structure. YES offers installment plans to make payments easier and has merit based and need based scholarships which partially cover tuition fees to deserving students who are high achievers.
