Vocational Training Institute (VTI) Multan was established in 1998 under the authority of Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC). The institute is an autonomous corporate body established by the Punjab Government through the PVTC Act of 1998. Its mission is to alleviate poverty through Muslim charity (ZAKAT) and private sector participation by imparting demand driven skill training and enhancing employability for underprivileged youth.
VTI Multan provide different short courses and diploma programs in electrical technology, automobiles, computers, fashion, etc. The courses are for all levels of expertise in order for those who have never done any carpentry work and want to learn and for those learners who want to be more conversant with the trade to progress to higher levels. Each program integrates didactic content with applied training in order not only to provide informa¬tion acquisition but also to equip students with practice-relevant proficiencies. It also affirms that they work hand in hand with professionals in the current market so as to provide updated curriculum.
VTI Multan is one the institutes that make graduates ready for job market as the institute has tie up with industries to provide employment. Employer relationships are particularly outstanding, creating internships, apprenticeships, and offering job placement opportunities that make it easier to advance to other levels upon completion of the program. VTI Multan also involved with entrepreneurship development as well; VTI helps students to start their own businesses or trade and hence, creating employment opportunities in Multan and nearby areas.
