UET Lahore Admissions - Eligibility Criteria

Admission criteria in UET Lahore is really strict. You can check the eligibility of your desired study level from the following: 

Undergraduate Programs:

• Candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in their HSSC/ inter exams. Some undergraduate programs may require lower marks percentage in HSSC.
• In case of foreign qualifications, candidates must have a certificate that shows their marks equal to at least 60% in the HSSC. Certificate by Intermediate Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

Master’s Programs:

• Applicants for MSc, MPhil or MS programs should possess an accredited undergraduate degree in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University. A 16-year BSc /BE /BS degree, or equivalent, in the relevant subjects with a minimum first division or a CGPA of 2.5 out of a maximum of 4.0 is required.
• If an applicant's transcript shows both a percentage and CGPA, the CGPA will be considered for eligibility. If the CGPA is based on a scale other than 4.00, it will be converted accordingly.

PhD Programs:

• Candidates applying for a Ph.D. program must have a 16-year BSc/ BE/ BS degree, or its equivalent, in the relevant field with a minimum first division or a CGPA of 3.0 out of a maximum of 4.0. In cases where a candidate’s transcript shows both a percentage and CGPA, the CGPA will be considered for eligibility. If the CGPA is on a scale other than 4.00, it will be appropriately converted.
• Full-Time Ph.D. students may receive financial assistance, including a stipend, without any tuition fee charges. However, this assistance is subject to approval of their research topic. Ph.D. candidates may qualify for a stipend if their CGPA in graduate coursework is at least 3.5 out of 4.0.
