Admissions for the 2025 academic session at the School of Law and Policy (SLP) at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, are now open. Students may pursue the undergraduate LL.B program over five years or get a master’s degree in Commercial Law over two years. The LL.B program is created for individuals interested in gaining both the basics and practical experience of Pakistani and international laws. Alternatively, LL.M Commercial Law is developed for law degree holders interested in specializing in corporate governance, business agreements and settling commercial disputes. At UMT, law students are prepared for their jobs in the legal field and at the same time trained to act ethically and develop their ability to reason.
Admission Process
Admission to LL.B and LL.M programs requires following a set of significant stages. If you want to apply for the LL.B, check that you are academically qualified and then get at least 50% on the Law Admission Test (LAT). To apply, open an account and use UMT’s admission portal website. An application fee of PKR 2,000 is charged which can be sent via a bank transfer or paid at a branch. Once students give the application, they are placed on a list using a formula: Intermediate marks are given 50% importance and LAT marks the other 50%. Interviews may be included as part of choosing candidates. The university gives strong guidance as you fill out the application to ensure the process goes smoothly.
Eligibility Criteria
Those applying for LL.B must score at least 45% in Intermediate (FSc or their equivalent), should not have a third division in Matric and must not be above 24 years of age. Students should reach at least half the marks needed for the LAT. applicants for the LL.M program must hold an LL.B degree from a properly recognized university.
