School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS), being one of the departments of CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry, was founded in 2018 with the mission to create market driven, effective health professionals for the local and global healthcare industry. SAHS is known for its efforts in imparting quality education in allied health sciences because it is keen on creating competent professionals who are able to respond to changing demands of the healthcare industry. The school specializes in digital and blended learning methodologies so that students are adequately prepared in contemporary learning methodology. With expansion plans underway, including the building of a new specialized facility, SAHS is well placed to further strengthen educational programs and facilities. 

Programs Offered

SAHS now has two main programs, namely the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology (MIT). The DPT program is a five-year course with the aims of endowing the students with profound knowledge and practical skills in physical therapy to make them good clinical practitioners and researchers. The MIT program specializes in the education of the students on the application of imaging technology necessary in effective treatment planning and proper diagnosis. The two programs integrate theoretical education with practice, awarding students that are ready to address the problems of the healthcare sector.

Facilities & Activities 

SAHS introduces students to high tech facilities, in the form of well-furnished laboratories, stocked library, and e-learning centers. The institution's connection with CMH Lahore, having a 1,050 bed teaching hospital, subjects students to ample clinical exposure and hands-on experience. Aside from education, SAHS exposes students to a range of extra-curricular activities including symposiums, workshops, and inter disciplinary projects in order to give the students a comprehensive education. The programs strive to improve professional competence of the students and equip them for successful professional careers in allied health sciences.
