Punjab Institute of Contemporary Sciences (PICS) Lahore is now accepting applications for the next academic session 2026. PICS, a degree awarding institute with University of the Punjab affiliation, has a diverse range of programs in the fields of engineering, business, and computer sciences. Programs include BSc in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Software Engineering, along with Business Administration (BBA) and Master's degrees such as Information Technology (MIT) and Business Administration (MBA). PICS is recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and an engineering degree from PICS should be valued accordingly. Admission Process

The admissions procedure at PICS has some important steps that is fair to all candidates. First, applicants will need to submit a completed application form with the specified required documents regarding their academic record and identification. Then a entry test will be conducted to check the level of proficiency of the candidates in the relevant subjects to English, Mathematics and Physics. The entry test will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and descriptive questions, and these questions will be used to evaluate the candidate's quantitative and qualitative skills. After the entry test, a formal merit list will be prepared based on the academic results and entry test results. The selected candidates on the merit list that meet the requirements will be called for an interview, and at that point the candidates are eligible for the hiring decision. 

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates seeking admission to PICS must fulfill specified academic and program requirements, as detailed below. For BSc in Engineering and BBA the admission criteria requires Intermediate (FSc) or equivalent with a minimum prescribed marks of 50%. For Master's programs, including MIT and MBA, a Bachelor's degree with at least a second division is required. Candidates are required to pass an entry test of PICS. The entry test will consist of questions concerning the programs of study. Foreign students are required to obtain an equivalence certification from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).
